New Family dog is Jon Blackdog’s Ridnell latest funk, jazz rock project. With he and his son Miles Ridnell on bass and vocals, they are performing various styles, including: funk, jazz, rock, blues, Nawlens’ second-line, afro-beat, and many more. With one full length release Silverline, under their belt, their sophomore release will feature Dave Watts(Motet) on the drums. The band has grown in size to include a three-piece horn section.
